| #1 | Does anyone have a recipe (not too complicated) for making "aloo potolo rasaa"?
Also, does anyone know how to cook "poi saaga" without using "sorisa bataa"? The poi is flourishing in my vegetable garden but my children are allergic to "besara" -- they get a nasty rash. |

| #2 | Hey Snigdha madam,
U can go for poi saga by using Postaka rather than besara. it is too much tasty also. If u put small tiny one (chingudi macha) in that also its toommuch tasty.
And about potala rasa as i know. 1) make a masla paste(by grinding in mixie)-- everything onion, garlic, ginger, elaichi, chilli flake, jeera powder, dhania powder. 2)make another paste of Charmagaj(melon seed) with little postok added. 3) Now add tejpatta to the pre heated oil.Add sliced onions, and some garam masala like cloves ,etc etc. 4)add tomatoes to the oil... fry till it is smashed . 5)before hand fry the potala and potatoes and keep aside. 6) after the tomatoes r smashed, add the masala to it.... stir it till it smells good and make it red by adding kashmiri mirchi, haldi and salt before hand. 7) add the charmagaj also. 8) now when the masala is rady on fire... add the potala and potatoes.....make a kasha type. 9) now u can add water and salt by tasting it if it is needed. 10)ur potala rasa is ready.(u can change the steps according to ur req.) NOTE: oil shud b little more to make it more tasty.
NJOY.... |
